Robert Half Payroll Processor in Austin, Texas

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Processor to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately managing and processing the company's payroll in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.

Responsibilities: Collecting, verifying, and processing timesheets, bonuses, and deductions. Setting up new employees in the payroll system and updating records on terminations. Ensuring employees' compensation is processed on time and in accordance with company policies and government regulations. Coordination with the HR department to verify details like new hires, terminations, leave records, and employee details. Resolving any payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries. Preparing and submitting regular payroll reports for accounting purposes. Calculating taxes and deductions, including social security payments and pension contributions. Keeping accurate records of employee payment history. Complying with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding payroll processing. Maintaining confidentiality of payroll information. Requirements Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field. At least two years of experience in payroll processing. Proficient in computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite, payroll software, and HRIS. Knowledge of payroll tax laws, employment laws, and related regulations. Excellent mathematical, organizational, and communication skills. High degree of attention to detail and discretion dealing with confidential information. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently. Exceptional interpersonal skills and team-oriented. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
