Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our team based in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for various functions including but not limited to, managing expenses, preparing financial packages, and assisting with annual audits. This role is a hybrid role for a well-established company.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate posting of all expenses, receipts, owner's distributions, funding requests, and other transactions for each accounting period
• Generate comprehensive financial packages and ensure their timely delivery to the client, lender, and other management teams
• Analyze and reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
• Prepare quarterly reports for debt covenants when necessary
• Respond to requests from management teams and clients regarding various accounting issues and reports
• Manage timely payments of property taxes, debt obligations, and other financial liabilities
• Assist property managers in the preparation of annual operating budgets and reconciliations
• Participate in annual audits and tax return preparation
• Prepare and review bank reconciliations.
Requirements
• Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant or in a relevant field
• Proficiency in Yardi Software is preferred
• Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
