Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Austin, Texas

Description We are looking to bring on board a Sr. Accountant in Austin, Texas, 78758, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing accounts payable and receivable. You will also be involved in conducting variance analysis, assisting with audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of financial statements and reports.

• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

• Management of accounts payable and receivable processes.

• Conducting variance analysis and assisting with audits.

• Mentoring junior accounting staff and providing training as needed.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.

• Processing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

• Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• Utilizing accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite.

• Leveraging Microsoft Excel to perform advanced financial analyses.

• Overseeing the month-end close process. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Expertise in managing General Ledger

• Ability to record Journal Entries accurately

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in performing Month End Close tasks

• Knowledge and experience in using NetSuite

• Experience with Oracle software

• Familiarity with SAP software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
