Robert Half Sr Credit and Accounts Receivable Specialist in Austin, Texas

Description

We are searching for a meticulous Credit and AR Specialist to join our client's team, based in Austin, Texas. This role is central to our operations within the commercial collections industry, where you will manage our mid-level customer base. Your focus will be on effective collections, reconciling complex billing disputes, maintaining positive customer relationships, and controlling past due receivables.

Responsibilities

• Resolve past due and disputed items in a timely manner while maintaining customer relationships

• Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and management to address various issues

• Analyze information to determine the appropriate course of action

• Mitigate customer risk through effective questioning, credit review, and setting appropriate credit limits

• Ensure compliance with both internal and external controls

• Adhere to and enforce policies and procedures to support organizational and Credit & Receivables requirements

• Exercise judgment and initiative in resolving minor to moderately complex customer issues

• Engage in other related duties as required or requested

• Proficiency in collections activities, including phone and email communication with customers, reconciling accounts, applying credits, and issuing refunds

• Conduct credit reviews for existing customers and consider credit increases

• Research and apply new technologies and automation in work processes

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an Accounts Receivable role or similar

• Demonstrable proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with billing procedures and cash applications

• Familiarity with Cash Collections and Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically with Pivot Table and VLOOKUP functions

• Experience with B2B collections and Business-to-business (B2B) transactions

• Knowledge of D365 software

• Familiarity with Credit - Collections and Credit Application processes

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions

• A strong ethical standard and integrity in professional conduct.
