Robert Half Staff Accountant in Austin, Texas
Description We are inviting applications for the role of Staff Accountant in Austin, Texas. The primary function of this role is to manage accounts payable for our numerous vendors, and conduct general staff accounting tasks such as journal entries and bank account reconciliations. This role is a short-term contract role and will offer the opportunity to work with an evolving tech stack including NetSuite and Slack for internal communications.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the accounts payable process, ensuring all vendor transactions are accurately recorded.
• Conduct bank account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of our financial records.
• Assist in the preparation of journal entries to maintain our general ledger.
• Implement and manage the new NetSuite system, ensuring a smooth transition from the current QBO system.
• Communicate internally using Slack to facilitate efficient and effective collaboration.
• Conduct monthly end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting.
• Utilize your knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
• Respond to accounts receivable inquiries and ensure prompt and accurate billing.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Maintain accurate credit records for all customers. Requirements • Adeptness in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is necessary
• Extensive knowledge in General Ledger is mandatory
• Familiarity with Journal Entries is crucial
• Experience with Month End Close is essential
• Proficiency in NetSuite is highly desired
• Prior experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) is a plus
