Description
The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with a local health network in the Avon area to add a patient registration specialist to join their team. This person will need to be friendly and have excellent customer service!
Hours: Monday-Fri, 8a-4:30p
Responsibilities for the position include the following:
Streamlines Patient Journey: Ensures patients move efficiently through the healthcare facility, from arrival to their designated area.
Financial & Clinical Efficiency: Gathers patient information for accurate billing and medical records, promoting optimal reimbursement and patient care.
Administrative Tasks: Schedules appointments, verifies insurance, explains fees and policies, and processes payments.
Communication Hub: Answers phone inquiries, directs patients and visitors to the right resources.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA preferred
1-2 years of relevant experience in a health care setting preferred
Ability to learn medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding experience preferred
Ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
