Description

We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Manager to join our clients team in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. This role will involve ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all salaries, deductions, and other payroll elements, analyzing the payroll function for potential improvements, and answering employee queries. You will also be expected to maintain a client-centric approach and apply skills learned in one client setting to similar situations with other clients.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that all salaries, deductions, and other payroll elements are correct and complete.

• Analyzing the payroll function for possible improvements and making suggestions.

• Preparation and filing of payroll tax returns (Federal and multi-state).

• Answering employee queries regarding payroll.

• Ensuring the quality of work output is on time and accurate.

• Working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.

• Maintaining a client-centric approach to all matters, including positive telephone, email, and other communication skills.

• Applying skills learned in one client setting to similar situations with other clients.

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various tasks.

• Managing Full Cycle Payroll.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Experience in managing full cycle payroll is essential.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with employees and management.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of payroll legislation and regulations is mandatory.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies and issues.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is desirable.

• Familiarity with payroll software and systems is beneficial.
