Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team based in AVON, Ohio. The role primarily involves supporting the CFO with accounting entries and month-end reconciliations. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the industry.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the CFO with accounting entries and month-end reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of all accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Support the CFO in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks.
• Play a key role in the month-end close process.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide on-site support to the CFO and other team members as needed. Requirements • Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a financial capacity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Month End Close processes
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) would be advantageous
• Experience with financial software systems would be beneficial.
