Description
We are offering an employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Bakersfield, California. In this role, you will be working in the finance industry, handling various customer service and administrative tasks. You will be responsible for processing customer payments, answering phones, and maintaining office supplies, among other tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Handle and direct incoming calls in a professional manner
• Greet and guide visitors, customers, and prospects
• Collect customer payments and manage associated records
• Address and resolve any customer inquiries or issues
• Prepare bank deposits and perform cash reconciliation tasks
• Post journal entries as required
• Maintain an inventory of office supplies and reorder when necessary
• Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries
• Ensure the office environment, including the beverage bar, is kept clean and well-stocked
• Provide support to the accounting department as needed.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and present data
• Experience with QuickBooks and Oracle for managing financial data
• Ability to perform account reconciliation and manage accounts receivable (AR)
• Experience in billing, cash applications, and cash collections
• Knowledge of commercial collections processes and best practices
• Familiarity with SAP for business process management
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must possess a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
