Robert Half Office Manager in Bakersfield, California

Description

We are an immediate employment opportunity for an Office Manager in Bakersfield, California. This role involves overseeing a wide range of administrative activities related to compliance, human resources, project management, and other back-office processes. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to automate and document business processes, manage various insurance policies, and ensure adherence to regulations across all functions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess compliance across all functions, ensuring all activities adhere to regulations.

• Review, suggest changes, and manage all business-related documents such as Purchase Orders, Statements of Work, and legal documents.

• Oversee Human Resources processes including onboarding and offboarding of employees, performance reviews, and payroll processes.

• Lead internal audits of processes, identifying potential gaps and areas for improvement.

• Stay updated with all regulations and compliance requirements across multiple states.

• Supervise and manage the team to ensure compliance with all regulations and maintain good standing with customers and regulators.

• Strategize and implement new ideas for automating current business processes.

• Manage the Certified Payroll process, ensuring its accuracy and timeliness.

• Use Accounting Software Systems, CRM, and other related tools to manage accounts payable and receivable, answer inbound calls, and ensure overall financial efficiency.

• Communicate effectively with company leaders and legal counsel about contract facilitation.

• Review and update benefits for employees regularly.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years experience in an Office Manager role or similar position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable

• Knowledge of Concur software is essential

• Familiarity with CRM systems would be advantageous

• Experience with Dentrix Dental Software would be beneficial

• Proficiency in About Time software is preferred

• Must have experience with Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Experience in answering inbound calls is required

• Understanding of compliance regulations and standards in the office environment

• Certification in Payroll is a plus.
