We are offering employment opportunity in the Healthcare/NHS industry for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Bakersfield, California, 93301, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our office, handling patient registration, insurance verification, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Provide top-tier customer service by effectively communicating with patients and addressing their inquiries

• Perform patient registration and pre-registration tasks in a timely and accurate manner

• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations as part of the registration process

• Maintain up-to-date patient demographics in our system to ensure accurate records

• Collect co-pay, co-insurance, and deductibles from patients as required

• Maintain discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive patient information

• Use Microsoft Excel and other computer applications to manage, track, and report on office functions

• Schedule appointments efficiently while considering the varying needs and availability of patients

• Ensure compliance with all healthcare policies and procedures in all tasks

• Effectively manage billing functions, including insurance and patient liabilities.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Customer Service

• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written

• Familiarity with Office Functions and administrative tasks

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software

• Experience in Training staff or team members

• Understanding of relevant Policy and regulations in the healthcare sector

• Experience in Answering Inbound Calls in a detail oriented and courteous manner

• Ability to Schedule Appointments efficiently and accurately

• Knowledge of Billing Functions and related software

• Understanding of Insurance processes and regulations

• Experience in Supervising a team or department

• Ability to create and deliver effective Presentations

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions within the healthcare sector

• Experience with Check Processing and related financial tasks

• Understanding of Collection Processes within the healthcare sector

• Ability to manage detail oriented Correspondence effectively

• Proficiency in the use of Spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting

• Ability to maintain high levels of Productivity under pressure

• Experience in providing Administrative Assistance in a healthcare setting

• Familiarity with HealthCare.gov and related healthcare platforms

• Demonstrated 10 Key Skills for data entry and related tasks

• Experience with Authorizations in a healthcare setting

• Ability to work effectively within a Business Unit

• Understanding of Deductible and Liability processes in the healthcare sector
