Description
We are offering employment opportunity for a Patient Care Coordinator in the healthcare industry, situated in Bakersfield, California. The role entails handling a wide array of secretarial support duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the business unit and enhance productivity and efficacy within the department.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process patient registrations and pre-registrations
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations
• Maintain and update patient demographics accurately
• Handle collection processes including co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles
• Deliver excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and resolving issues
• Execute billing functions and understand insurance aspects across all payers
• Scheduling appointments and managing office functions
• Use Microsoft Excel and other computer applications effectively
• Implement policy and follow healthcare regulations
• Supervise business unit operations and manage administrative tasks
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients
• Produce presentations and maintain spreadsheets and correspondence.
Requirements • Proven experience in Customer Service with a focus on patient care
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in Office Functions and administrative tasks
• Competence in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications
• Experience in Training staff and colleagues
• Capable of developing and implementing Policies
• Proficiency in Answering Inbound Calls and handling customer queries
• Ability to Schedule Appointments efficiently and effectively
• Experience in Billing Functions within a healthcare setting
• Familiarity with Insurance processes and policies
• Experience in Supervising a team
• Ability to create and deliver Presentations
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions within the healthcare industry
• Experience in Check Processing and Collection Processes
• Skilled in written Correspondence with patients and other stakeholders
• Ability to manage Spreadsheets for data tracking
• Proven experience in improving Productivity within a team
• Experience in providing Administrative Assistance
• Familiarity with HealthCare.gov and its functions
• Proficiency in 10 Key Skills for data entry
• Experience in managing Authorizations in a healthcare setting
• Ability to work effectively within a Business Unit
• Understanding of Deductible and Liability within the healthcare industry
