Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Baltimore, Maryland
Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a housing association based in Baltimore, Maryland. This position will require the successful candidate to perform a variety of tasks related to the accounts payable function within the organization. This is a contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the processing of payments and tax orders/proposals by entering information into the payment system.
• Filing and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
• Review spreadsheets to ensure all data is accurate and up to date.
• Review utility accounting data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level to perform data processing tasks.
• Perform data entry tasks, particularly numeric data entry, to maintain and update the company's financial records.
• Code invoices accurately to ensure proper allocation of expenses in the company's accounts.
• Process invoices in a timely manner to avoid late payment penalties.
• Carry out payment processing tasks to ensure all payments are made on time.
• Respond to inquiries related to accounts payable and resolve any issues that may arise. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Experience in Coding Invoices
• Strong Data Entry skills, including numeric data entry
• Proficiency in Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Filing tasks
• Experience in Payment Processing
• Ability to work in a Housing Association industry
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
