Robert Half Direct is partnering with a nonprofit looking for a Accounts Payable Coordinator
The Accounts Payables Coordinator is responsible for daily processing of disbursements of funds for the 3 entities within the organization and focuses on details and timely completion of daily tasks.
Reporting to the Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for the following:
Reviews or obtains the information and data required to reconcile the accounts payable ledger with exceptional care and a sharp eye for detail to manage expenses within budget constraints;
Answers and makes phone calls from/to vendors, units across the country and the various divisions to verify information, obtain information and maintaining positive relationships with all parties will be critical
Encourages employee engagement with payable procedures to ensure timely payment to vendors and partners in alignment with organizational values
Reconciles each vendors’ monthly financial activity preparing journal entries as required for review
Accurately records credit card purchases, expense reports and prepares payments in accordance with organization procedures
Maintains supporting financial documentation within software system to simplify recording keeping and audit readiness
Prepares analysis of accounts and producing monthly reports to inform financial decisions
The ideal candidate for this experienced position will possess the following qualifications:
• High School Diploma and Certificate in Accounting or equivalent
• 2+ years of accounts payable and basic accounting required
• Experience in SAGE Intaact or other cloud-based accounting system is a plus
• Excellent organizations, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a professional work environment
• Demonstrated general accounting knowledge
• Works diligently during period of high volume departmental activity
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn to improve productivity and output
