Robert Half AML/BSA Analyst in Baltimore, Maryland
Description
We are seeking an AML/BSA Analyst to join our team in the banking industry, based in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, you will be tasked with analyzing and monitoring financial transactions to detect and report suspicious activities to ensure compliance with Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of customer financial transactions to identify suspicious activities and potential breaches of AML and BSA regulations
• Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in accordance with OFAC regulations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government clearances and regulations related to the banking industry
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for preventing money laundering and other illegal financial activities
• Use Android development and backend development skills to enhance the efficiency of AML/BSA monitoring systems
• Utilize VeraFIN for bug tracking purposes to ensure the smooth operation of AML/BSA monitoring systems
• Assist in maintaining accurate customer credit records.
Requirements
• Proven experience in AML - Anti Money Laundering
• Proficiency in BSA - Bank Secrecy Act
• Knowledgeable in OFAC Regulation
• Familiarity with Suspicious Activity Reporting
• Experienced working with VeraFIN and CLEAR
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and changes in regulation
• Previous experience in similar role within the banking industry is preferred.
