Description
One of Robert Half's Fortune 500 Banking clients is hiring an Ansible Automation DevOps Engineer to support ongoing automations of IT processes across the enterprise.
Your day-to-day:
Promote, design, prototype, demo, implement and support Infrastructure Automation projects utilizing Ansible AWX Event-Driven Ansible GitLab and SDLC processes to promote automation development for the organization.
Participate in cross-functional projects as Ansible and AWX subject matter expert.
Conceptualize present prototype and develop automation solutions.
Employ Ansible and DevOps principles and tools to automate processes and workflows.
Document designs policies and procedures based on industry best practices.
Develop runbooks for users to execute Ansible automation playbooks.
Collaborate with stakeholders to train and hand-over automation playbooks.
Provide support to users and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve errors.
Requirements
Must-haves
Understanding and demonstrated success with Ansible automation development:
Ansible playbook/role development
Development experience SDLC Git etc.
Nice to haves
Education: 4-year bachelor of science BSc degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Understanding and demonstrated success with related technologies:
Event-Driven Ansible
AWX open source application
Development/scripting experience Python
Kubernetes
AWS EC2 EKS and RDS cloud services
Networking with Cisco
Virtualization with VMware
Windows administration
Red Hat Linux OS administration
