Robert Half Commercial Litigation Attorney in Baltimore, Maryland

Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Commercial Litigation Associate to join a boutique law firm in Maryland. This role can be in office, hybrid or remote, but our client prefers someone in the MD or DC area. Offices are in Bethesda & Baltimore.

As a Commercial Litigation Associate, you will be tasked with supporting a sophisticated practice (mostly real estate), handling litigation cases, conducting in-depth legal research, and crafting comprehensive legal documents.

Key responsibilities:

• Handle a variety of commercial litigation cases, ensuring all proceedings are conducted in compliance with the law

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and provide insights on legal matters

• Draft and review legal documents, ensuring they are accurate, thorough, and legally sound

• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to devise strategic, aggressive, and creative legal strategies

• Work closely with clients across the globe, providing legal advice and representation

• Manage and prioritize a robust caseload, ensuring all deadlines are met

• Employ excellent legal writing skills to create clear, concise, and compelling legal arguments

• Utilize e-Discovery tools in the management and review of electronic documents

• Practice law in federal courts, adhering to all rules and regulations

Requirements

• Must hold a professional degree in law (JD, LLB, or equivalent)

• Admission to state bar, preferably where the job is located

• Minimum of two years of experience as an Attorney or Lawyer

• Strong skills in Legal Research and Legal Writing

• Experience in Federal Court procedures and requirements

• Knowledge and experience in e-Discovery processes

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to analyze legal documents and situations and provide clear, concise advice

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to find creative solutions to legal issues

• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• High level of professional ethics and integrity.

Law review or federal/appellate clerkship preferred
