Description

My client is a well-known professional services partnership looking to hire their next controller as the result of a pending retirement. The incumbent will stay to cross train you and get you up to speed. In this role you will work in the east Baltimore office each day but unlike most roles this is truly a 40-hour week without the need to log back in when you go home. You will manage a staff of one handling accounts payable and some other operational accounting. Responsibilities include month-end close, financial statement preparation, budgeting, 401k administration, payroll and working with the external audit firm. You will work directly with the executive team on special projects and will report to the CEO. Requirements

• 10+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ of supervisory experience

• CPA preferred

• Willing to work in the office everyday

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

• Proficient in using financial software and databases

• Strong decision-making skills

• High level of integrity and professional ethics

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
