Hybrid Attorney Opportunity - Baltimore

Our client is a dynamic non-profit and one of the largest organizations in Maryland offering support services in over 80 programs. If you are have at least one year of immigration experience and are driven to make meaningful differences in the lives of others, this role could be for you.

Attorney 1-4 years experience

• Handle Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) cases, including state court custody, removal defense in immigration court, and relief through USCIS

• Manage Asylum cases, both affirmative and defensive, through USCIS and Immigration Court respectively

• Engage in Removal Defense in immigration court, seeking relief for clients through motions/individual hearings and prosecutorial discretion

• Handle Naturalization cases through USCIS, including preparing and filing Form N-400 and attending Natz interview if necessary

• Process applications for DACA, TPS, Travel Documents, Family Petitions, U-visas, and T-visas

• Participate in Mock hearings and assist colleagues with case-related queries

• Share knowledge and materials from attended trainings, as well as drafted templates/samples of legal work

• Maintain accurate timekeeping for case management and report to supervisor at end of every month

• Maintain strong client relations throughout the legal proceedings

• Draft legal documents with precision and accuracy for various case types.

    Requirements

• Possession of a valid license to practice law in the United States

• At least one year of experience practicing immigration law

• Demonstrated expertise in handling asylum cases and visa applications

• Proven ability to draft legal documents with precision and accuracy

• Strong client relations skills with a focus on providing exceptional service

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Commitment to upholding the ethics and professional standards of the legal profession

• Knowledge of government legal procedures and regulations

• Willingness to continuously update knowledge on laws and legal practices.
