Robert Half Manager of SEC Financial Reporting in Baltimore, Maryland
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Financial Reporting for a mostly remote client. While the position is mostly remote, the successful candidate must be commutable within a few hours of Baltimore for meetings throughout the year. This role is focused on leading the production of accurate and timely external reports. You will be a crucial part of the team, working across various business units and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in reporting activities. The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for SEC filing and managing the staff and seniors to ensure all deadlines are met. You will assist with or lead process improvement efforts and help maintain the Sarbanes-Oxley control environment. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
A minimum of 7+ years of experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly preferred
Previous experience working in a large regional or larger public accounting firm is highly desirable
3+ recent years of auditing SEC filings or direct SEC reporting experience
Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with Sarbanes Oxley compliance and reporting
Proven ability to prepare and present external financial reports
Familiarity with footnote disclosures in financial reports
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
