Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Paralegal in Baltimore, Maryland. With a focus on real estate and property tax sale, this role will involve managing case software, using LexisNexis and Microsoft Excel, handling complaints, and briefing on legal knowledge.
We are open to any work background that has handled real estate and titles. Candidates we would consider include legal admins, legal assistants, paralegals and attorneys!
Responsibilities:
• Utilize case management software to monitor and update client cases
• Research and analyze legal resources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes
• Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements
• Manage calendar appointments, court schedules, and deadlines
• Handle complaints and resolve them in a timely manner
• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Utilize LexisNexis for legal research and case preparation
• Engage in briefing and presenting case studies
• Maintain accreditation standards in accordance with the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)
• Provide legal knowledge and support to the team.
Requirements
• Proficient in Case Management Software
• Experience with LexisNexis or legal research instruments
• Familiarity with Management Systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to create and present briefings
• Experience with Calendar Management
• Proven ability to handle complaints effectively
• Knowledge of Real Estate practices a plus
• Demonstrated legal knowledge relevant to the paralegal role
