Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Paralegal in Baltimore, Maryland. The selected candidate will be working in the real estate industry, specializing in real property and tax sale cases. The role involves the use of various software and tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities include:
• Utilizing Case Management Software for case tracking and management
• Conducting legal research using LexisNexis to aid in case preparation
• Managing legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence
• Implementing a Management System for efficient workflow
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and record-keeping
• Preparing legal briefings and reports to aid attorneys in trials
• Managing the legal calendar, scheduling court dates, and deadlines
• Handling complaints and queries from clients professionally and promptly
• Working on real estate cases, providing legal support in property and tax sale matters
• Ensuring compliance with AAAHC - Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care standards in all work processes. Requirements
• Proficiency in using Case Management Software
• Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research
• Experience with Management Systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to prepare legal briefings
• Skilled in Calendar Management for scheduling meetings and deadlines
• Experience in handling complaints and resolving disputes
• Knowledge in the field of Real Estate law
• Strong legal knowledge and understanding of legal terminology
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field is preferred
• Certification from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program is a plus
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
