Description
Robert Half has partnered with an esteemed client to hire a Manager / Senior Manager over their Corporate Tax team. This opens a unique opportunity for a talented elite Tax leader with demonstrated experience in Corporate Tax. The role requires extensive experience in federal and state income tax laws. You will be central to our financial operations, providing strategic leadership on our company's tax initiatives. The successful candidate will have the chance to collaborate with high-ranking personnel, ensuring that our company's tax policy aligns with our overall business operations.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
Manage and review the preparation of all federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns.
Review the corporation's state tax apportionment and effectively manage audits of federal and state income tax.
Research the implications of tax laws and advise on tax-related issues in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructurings.
Partner with accounting, legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure proper compliance with all tax laws.
Collaborate with the finance department on corporate financial planning.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide ongoing tax information to top management.
Monitor regulation changes or updates in federal and state income tax.
Attend and contribute to meetings with the corporation's external auditors and tax advisors as necessary.

Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree such as a Master's in Taxation is highly desirable.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly desired.
Minimum of 7 years' experience in tax accounting with a focus on corporate income tax, including federal and state tax.
Strong understanding of tax code, compliance issues, and filing requirements at the Corporate level.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, tax preparation and research software.
Strong leadership, project management, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels within the company.
