Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in BALTIMORE, Maryland


You'll be interested in this Senior Financial Analyst position with one of our clients, if you're looking for short-term contract / temporary work. Baltimore, Maryland will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst. To succeed in this role, you will need to be our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. This Senior Financial Analyst consultant role's duties include performing analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and providing decision-making support for future company investments.

How you will make an impact

  • Identify and execute financial analysis to optimize business performance

  • Drive existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management

  • Build positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating critical updates to senior leadership

  • Execute assistance in all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

  • Execute improved management reporting by working with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results

  • Collaborate with Functional leads to execute management reporting, accounting and compliance advisement, and coordinate alignment of operational initiatives

  • Develop business, operational, and financial processes to be repeatable and understandable for all necessary teams

    Requirements - Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills

  • Finance or Business BA/BS degree or one in a related field required

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision makers

  • Efficient with process reengineering and optimization

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management

  • Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) experience highly desired

  • Excel Formulas experience preferred

  • Excel VBA experience

  • Solid understanding of Macros

  • Microsoft Excel experience required

  • Acquirement in office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended
