Robert Half Systems Engineer in Baltimore, Maryland
Description We are in the healthcare industry, specializing in hospitals and social assistance, located in Baltimore, Maryland. We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Engineer. This role will primarily focus on the administration of Cisco systems and infrastructure, with the ability to handle related responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Administering Cisco stacks, ensuring the efficiency and security of the systems.
• Handling the administration and understanding of Active Directory.
• Working with Azure and SSO in a modern environment.
• Maintaining the fundamental knowledge of Cisco FTDs and FMC.
• Managing core switching operations and ensuring data integrity.
• Adhering to change management rules and regulations, ensuring minimal disruption to the workflow.
• Working with geodiverse and redundant systems, understanding that some work may need to be done after regular hours.
• Ensuring compliance with FIPS(?) 142 regulations.
• Being prepared to travel to different locations on different days for on-site work.
• Possessing a willingness to ask questions and work collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrating proficiency with Cisco Access Points.

Requirements • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance sectors is essential
• Proficiency in systems engineering and infrastructure design
• Experience with Cisco Access Points is necessary
• Strong understanding of system engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Knowledge of healthcare systems and data security standards
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and data security standards
