Description
Robert Half is actively recruiting for Controller Consultant for a Healthcare company for 3-6 months+ engagement. The consultant’s primary responsibilities will be leading the accounting team with month end close and preparing financial statements. In addition, the consultant will need a strong understanding of Healthcare accounting ( Hospital experience ideal) and reporting for Board of Directors. This role is onsite located in Banning, CA.
Technical Skills:
Lead month end close procedures, review and approve journal entries
Prepare financial statements and cash flow statements
-Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly and quarterly basis
Supervise and managed accounting department staff
Manage the quarterly and annually external audit
Heavy Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, large data sets)
Requirements
• Proficiency in handling Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Auditing processes and standards
• Knowledge of Budget Processes and planning
• Ability to perform Month-end Close Activities accurately and timely
• Experience with Month-end Journal Entries and their reconciliation
• Skills to Analyze Financial Statements and interpret data
• Experience in preparing and managing Consolidated Financial Statements
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using accounting software and related technologies
• Relevant certification or degree in Accounting or Finance ( Hospital experience ideal to have)
• Adherence to ethical standards and compliance with financial regulations.
