Robert Half Insurance Authorization Coordinator in Banning, California

Description We are offering a role for an Insurance Authorization Coordinator based in Banning, California, United States. This role is focused on streamlining the submissions process for patients and ensuring all admissions are authorized correctly within the telecom industry. The job involves working closely with medical facilities, clinical staff, and physicians to resolve any discrepancies and maintain accurate logs of all activities.

Responsibilities:

• Determine patients’ eligibility for insurance benefits prior to medical treatments, tests, hospital admissions, and outpatient procedures

• Secure necessary pre-authorizations for medical procedures

• Verify insurance coverage and liaise with medical facilities to rectify any discrepancies

• Stay current with insurance requirements and update the team accordingly

• Maintain logs of denied claims and all admitted patients for daily follow-ups

• Coordinate with clinical staff and physicians to ensure accurate and efficient patient care

• Follow up on missing or inaccurate information and coordinate with relevant parties for corrections

• Problem-solving cases as needed and escalate complex issues to the higher authority

• Use Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze data related to Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, and Claim Administration

• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly

• Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a role related to Insurance Authorization Coordination or in a similar function.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data processing and analysis tasks.

• Familiarity with Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, and Claim Administration is required.

• Exceptional customer service skills are vital for liaising with clients and ensuring their needs are met.

• Strong documentation skills are necessary for maintaining accurate records and reports.

• Knowledge of Co-Insurance principles and practices is a must.

• Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with colleagues and management.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills are required.

• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively.

• Professional and ethical conduct must be demonstrated at all times.
