Description We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant to be a part of our team based in Bannockburn, Illinois. The individual will be responsible for various accounting tasks including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close. This role also involves the use of SAP.

Responsibilities:

• Handle account payables and receivables with accuracy and efficiency.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial transactions are up-to-date.

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and timely.

• Prepare and post journal entries in the accounting system.

• Perform month-end close procedures to ensure all financial data is captured and reported correctly.

• Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks and processes.

• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting inquiries and issues.

• Ensure compliance with all internal controls and financial policies.

• Monitor financial discrepancies and work towards timely resolution.

• Participate in financial audits and assist with the preparation of audit documents. Requirements

• Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is required.

• Familiarity with General Ledger operations is necessary.

• Ability to make Journal Entries accurately and efficiently is crucial.

• Proficiency in Month End Close procedures is required.

• Knowledge and experience with SAP software is a must.

• The applicant must be legally eligible to work in the designated country.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial.

• The candidate must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines is required.

• Strong problem-solving skills are necessary.

• The candidate must have a strong ethical standard and integrity.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation is preferred.

• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases are required.

• Experience in creating financial statements and general ledger functions is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are a must.

• The candidate must be adaptable and able to prioritize tasks.

• The candidate must be a quick learner and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
