Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in BARDSTOWN, Kentucky. This role is vital to maintaining, developing, and supporting our technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components. The successful candidate will have experience in a variety of platforms, including Windows, Hyper V, and Cisco/UCS, and be skilled in PowerShell scripting.
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and support technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components for optimal performance and reliability.
Perform installation, maintenance, and support of system software/hardware, providing timely assistance to end-users as needed.
Configure, debug, and support multiple infrastructure platforms, including Windows and Hyper V.
Manage and maintain networking environments such as Cisco Cloud Email Security Appliance (ESA), Cisco Firepower for advanced threat protection, and Cisco Meraki WAN for streamlined network management.
Transition to and maintain new infrastructure platforms as needed, such as Aruba WiFi infrastructure.
Utilize advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Use PowerShell scripting for automation, configuration management, and system administration tasks.
Maintain and develop technical documentation for system configurations and processes.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure all systems and networks are functioning optimally and securely.
Requirements
Significant experience in Systems Engineering, ideally with 5+ years in a similar role.
Proficiency in Cisco Hardware, Cisco Firewall, Cisco Products, Cisco Routers, Cisco Security, and Cisco Technologies.
Experience with Cisco UC, Cisco Unified Computing System, and Cisco Unity.
Familiarity with Veeam and Veeam Backup.
Knowledge of Hyper-V, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Windows Security, and Microsoft Windows Server.
Demonstrated skill in Configuration Documentation, Documentation, Compliance Documentation, and Network Documentation.
Experience in Process Documentation, Technical Documentation, and User Documentation.
Proven ability in Configuration Management, Infrastructure Configuration, and IT Configurations.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
