Robert Half Inventory Clerk in Batavia, Illinois
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Clerk to join our team in Batavia, Illinois. In this role, you will be primarily handling inventory management and clerical duties in a manufacturing setting. You will split your time between the office and warehouse, ensuring a smooth flow of inventory operations.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately enter and update purchase orders in the inventory system
• Match purchase orders to the corresponding inventory items
• Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
• Track inventory levels and report any discrepancies
• Interact with suppliers for inventory-related inquiries and issues
• Unload and organize shipments received in the warehouse
• Assist in organizing the warehouse to ensure efficient location and retrieval of items
• Perform clerical duties related to inventory management
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse environment
• Liaise between the office and warehouse to ensure seamless operations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Inventory Clerk role or similar
• Proficient in clerical duties including data entry, filing and maintaining records
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations
• Knowledge of purchasing materials and inventory management
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lift and move heavy items when necessary
