Description

Robert Half has a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in the Professional Services industry, located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The successful candidate will be tasked with a range of duties, including managing accounting software systems, conducting financial services, and overseeing enterprise resource planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Utilize accounting software systems to manage and organize financial data

• Oversee the full range of accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial information accuracy and compliance with regulations

• Manage budget processes, ensuring all financial operations align with the company's financial goals

• Prepare and record detailed journal entries as part of the company's financial recordkeeping

• Conduct account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting purposes

• Respond to accounting-related inquiries from management, providing necessary information for decision making

• Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations and policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional services environment, specifically in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Demonstrated ability to handle Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing is necessary

• Knowledge of Budget Processes is a must

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Experience in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing data

• Must be legally eligible to work in the specified location

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to uphold the company's standards
