Description
Robert Half has a opening for an Accounting Clerk with our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This position is part of the accounting industry, where you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including account reconciliation, handling accounts payable and receivable, billing, and other related tasks. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the processing of invoices accurately and promptly
• Oversee the reconciliation of accounts to ensure accurate financial records
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, ensuring timely payments and receipts
• Perform billing tasks, preparing and issuing invoices to customers
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry and financial tracking purposes
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payments
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and best practices
• Participate in regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
Requirements
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
• Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Billing procedures and systems
• Experience in Invoice Processing is necessary
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are needed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of standard accounting principles and regulations
• Experience with accounting software is a plus
