There is an imperative need for an Accounting Manager in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area by a client of Robert Half. Interested candidates should have prior experience in building out a large accounting and finance team for this growing organization. You will manage daily, monthly and yearly accounting functions, variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. The Accounting Manager will oversee the mid-level accounting operations by hiring, training and creating processes and procedures for this company poised for double digit growth. What you get to do every single day
Cooperate closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Collect and observe forecasting reports
Overview performance to date and assess efficiencies of the policies and procedures
Oversee Accounting and Finance on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Discern and describe internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Requirements
Be able to simplify complex problems and build solutions
3+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required
- Prior knowledge in financial reporting tools
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
Financial analysis experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Access
- Top-notch presentation skills
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required, CPA or CPA candidate preferred
