Description
Robert Half has partnered with a client seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role will primarily revolve around handling our accounts receivable operations, with a focus on processing payments, reconciling bank accounts, and supporting other stakeholders in the organization. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks, including general accounting tasks at field sites, accounts payable, and payroll liaison activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, posting, and balancing financial data in various ledgers.
• Verify documents and codes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports.
• Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
• Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department, and other stakeholders.
• Handle collections: contact existing clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and accounts receivable systems for various tasks, including inputting timesheet data.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivables systems
• Ability to post payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Understanding of accounts receivable principles and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Familiarity with data entry and administrative tasks
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Familiarity with financial software and databases
• Strong organizational and time management skills
