Robert Half is currently seeking a Database Developer for a growing company in the Central Baton Rouge area. This is a permanent fully onsite role offering great benefits and a competitive compensation package. This role offers career growth in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal fit will have experience in creating and building upon internal and externally facing (end customer) facing applications in SQL and Python. A degree is desired but not a requirement. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain existing data warehouse and assist with reporting functionality.

• Create and extract data using SQL into reports and from a migration perspective

• Manage application releases in a team setting

• Manage end-to-end software development lifecycle for assigned projects, from a business analysis perspective

• Follow good programming practices and incorporate feedback in code reviews to deliver code that is easy to manage.

• Focused on security as it relates to development and database activities

Expertise and/or Relevant Experience in:

• Software debugging skills

• Python

• Advanced SQL skills

• Amazon AWS – or other similar cloud experience

• API’s & Web Services

• Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented software design

• Experience writing complex SQL Queries, and SQL database development.

• Tableau or other similar Data Visualization Tools

Requirements • Proficiency in Database and Database Object

• Skilled in using Erwin Data and Microsoft SQL Server

• Experience in AB Testing and Data Warehousing

• Strong knowledge in Design and ETL Extract Transform Load

• Familiarity with Flat File and Microsoft SQL

• Proficiency in Python and Tableau

• Knowledge in API - Application Programming Interface

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
