Robert Half Financial Project Manager in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Description We are seeking for a Financial Project Manager to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity where you will be tasked with managing financial projects, processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounts payable/accounts receivable

• Oversee fixed asset management, including depreciation schedules

• Conduct variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting

• Prepare budgets and financial statements

• Implement and monitor internal controls, including risk assessments

• Provide tax support (sales & use, property, payroll, corporate, etc.) and audit support

• Ensure compliance with changes in professional standards such as ASC 842 Lease Accounting, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, etc.

• Document and improve procedures, policies, and processes

• Manage grants and perform cost accounting

• Create financial models and data visualizations

• Implement ERP systems

• Use advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Financial Project Manager

• Proficiency in Journal Entries and Financial Reporting

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Data Visualization

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Consolidated Financial Statements

• Familiarity with Month End Close, Cash Management, and Treasury Management

• Experience in System Implementation and Business process improvement

• Skills in Process Documentation, Internal Control, and SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley

• Knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 740, ASC 815, ASC 842, and ASC 985-605

• Experience in Profit and loss management, Budgeting, and Forecasting

• Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, MS Dynamics AX, MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, SAP Financials, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, and Financial Modeling

• Familiarity with Oracle software

• Current CPA License

• Experience with SEC Reporting and SEC filings

• Skill in Internal Audit and Risk Assessment

• Proficiency in Tableau and Power BI

• Experience in Variance Analysis, Financial Analysis, and Data Analytics

• Ability to work across Multiple Industries

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Cash Flow Analysis and Cash Flow Statements

• Strong Analytical Skills

• Knowledge of Grant Accounting and Cost Accounting

• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)

• Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) and Consulting

• Experience in KPI Reporting.
