Description

Robert Half has an immediate need for an organized and detail-oriented Paralegal in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role primarily involves legal research, document editing, filing, and drafting, among other responsibilities. As a key member of our team, you will be expected to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents

• Handle dictation and editing of documents

• Manage calendars and make travel arrangements

• File documents in court and manage e-filing processes

• Perform clerical duties such as conflict checks and opening client files

• Enter attorney time and manage billing

• Use Outlook and PowerPoint for various tasks

• Work on governmental relations, insurance regulatory, and state procurement and contract dispute resolution

• Use Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, Management System, and Microsoft Excel for various tasks

• Handle briefing, calendar management, claim administration, and complaint handling.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat for document creation and management

• Experience with Case Management Software to handle legal cases efficiently

• Knowledge and experience with LexisNexis for legal research

• Familiarity with Management System to organize and manage work

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Ability to handle Billing Functions efficiently

• Experience in Briefing to present case summaries and updates

• Skilled in Calendar Management for scheduling appointments and meetings

• Experience in Claim Administration to manage and resolve claims

• Proficient in Complaint Handling to resolve client issues effectively.
