Robert Half Reception & Billing Clerk in Battle Creek, Michigan

Description We are seeking a diligent Billing Clerk to handle financial operations in our CPA firm located in Battle Creek, Michigan. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk, handling reception duties, and utilizing the Mango accounting system for billing. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle front desk and reception tasks, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction.

• Utilize Mango accounting system for accurate and efficient billing procedures.

• Generate invoices in a timely manner to maintain financial fluidity.

• Create comprehensive reports to provide insights into financial operations.

• Send statements to the accountant for review and further action.

• Proficiently use Microsoft Excel and Office 365 for data management and scheduling.

• Manage the reception of checks, ensuring proper documentation and record keeping.

• Provide direct administrative support to the owner, assisting in various tasks as needed.

• Proficiently handle answering multi-line phone system and taking detailed messages.

• Schedule meetings using programs such as Outlook, ensuring efficient time management.

• Handle tax preparation tasks and other related duties as required. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Billing Clerk in a CPA Firm or a similar industry

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems and billing software

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Prior experience in managing billing functions

• Familiarity with Receptionist Duties, including answering multi-line phone system and taking detailed messages

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Experience in using Programs Outlook and scheduling meetings

• Knowledge and experience in Tax Preparation and IRS Tax

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
