Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Baxter, Tennessee
Description
We are offering a contract to perm employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Baxter, Tennessee. The selected candidate will be responsible for high volume invoice processing and understanding the PR process within the freight and manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of high volume invoices on a weekly basis
• Maintain and manage the PR process efficiently
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve them in a timely manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP and Concur for efficient workflow
• Implement ERP for enterprise resource planning
• Perform accounting functions including accrual accounting and auditing
• Manage automated clearing house (ACH) operations
• Ensure account coding is done accurately for financial records
• Gain proficiency in using various accounting software systems for diverse accounting functions.
Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
• Proficient in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting.
• Extensive experience with Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary.
• Experience with Concur and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is advantageous.
• Strong understanding and experience in Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Experience in Auditing and Automated Clearing House (ACH) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
