Robert Half Staff Accountant in BEACHWOOD, Ohio
Description Preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting are among the key responsibilities for this role. Your responsibilities in this role
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management Requirements - Account reconciliation experience
Proven knowledge of SAP
Intercompany Accounting experience
Comprehensive knowledge of journal entries
Deep understanding of bank reconciliations
Financial statement preparation experience preferred
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Experience with ERP systems
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
