We are seeking a Senior Accountant with growth potential to join our team based in Bedford, New Hampshire. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of our general ledger and producing timely financial statements. You will be expected to lead the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer billing processes, drive the monthly forecasting process, and coordinate the annual budget cycle.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and compliance with GAAP
• Produce accurate and timely financial statements
• Oversee monthly and annual financial close processes
• Prepare, enter, and supply supporting documentation for journal entries
• Update weekly management dashboards
• Provide direction and support to the Accounting Clerk
• Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Lead accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer billing processes
• Drive monthly forecasting process and provide management with key analytics and metrics
• Coordinate the annual budget cycle
• Track all financial transactions associated with projects meticulously
• Prepare detailed weekly project financial reports and maintain accurate project financial records
• Collaborate with Project Financial Analyst to create meaningful, consistent project reporting
• Process bi-weekly payroll with the assistance of HR
• Prepare payroll-related reports as required
• Reconcile payroll journal entries, budgets, and P& L
• Handle the timely filing of all Federal, State, and Local filings and payments
• Lead annual external audit support efforts and work closely with auditors
• Prepare supporting documentation for R& D tax credit applications.

Requirements
• Demonstrable experience in Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Ability to prepare Financial Statements
• Experience in analyzing Financial Statements
• Proficiency in Variance Analysis
• Strong Financial Analysis skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (preferred)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
