Robert Half Systems Administrator III in Bedford, Ohio

Description We are based in Bedford, Ohio, and we are offering an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the development and implementation of IT strategy and plans, managing helpdesk and IT operations, and ensuring the security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols are in place.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IT strategies and plans.

• Manage helpdesk and IT operations.

• Ensure the security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols are well implemented.

• Conduct research pertinent to technical issues and product solutions.

• Effectively manage a wide range of constituents.

• Present ideas and solutions in simplified terms.

• Efficiently switch tasks and manage conflicting priorities.

• Utilize scripting and automation tools.

• Utilize knowledge of virtualization, cloud, data back-up, and SAN technologies.

• Utilize knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, VMware, and Azure Active Directory. Requirements • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator for a minimum of 3 years

• Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server

• Proficiency in VMware

• Experience with Azure Active Directory

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience

• Certifications in relevant areas such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) would be advantageous

• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware

• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices

• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols

• Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems

• Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection

• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources

• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization

• A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Dependable and flexible when necessary

• Network security experience
