Description
We are offering contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Bel Air, Maryland. The Bookkeeper will be integral in maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments. This role primarily involves working with QuickBooks online for bookkeeping purposes, and will be pivotal in managing customer account information in preparation for Year End.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain financial documents and records, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure financial information accuracy.
• Update all financial schedules, including book depreciation, to reflect current financial status.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Ultra Tax software for bookkeeping tasks and financial management.
• Process and manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate payment and receipt of funds.
• Conduct general accounting tasks, including the preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Perform daily reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure financial consistency.
• Prepare and process expense reports and handle expense reimbursements.
• Conduct month-end close procedures to ensure all financial data is accounted for within the designated time frame.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for data entry and financial record-keeping tasks.
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with Bookkeeping practices and principles
• Proficiency in Data Entry tasks
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of Payroll processing
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Quickbooks Online, Quickbooks Premier, QuickBooks Pro, and Quickbooks ProAdvisor
• Experience in Bank Account Reconciliation, Cash Reconciliations, and Credit Card Reconciliation
• Proficiency in Daily Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Expense Reconciliation
• Knowledge of Financial Reconciliation procedures
• General Accounting skills
• Familiarity with General Journal and General Ledger management
• Experience in Adjusting Journal Entries, Journal Entries, Journal Entry Preparation, Month-end Journal Entries, Post Journal Entries, Posting Journal Entries, and Preparing Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Expense Allocation, Accrued Expenses, Expense Reimbursements, Monthly Expense, Prepaid Expense, Preparing Expense Reports, and Processing Expenses
• Ability to generate Aging Reports and Code Invoices.
