Description Implements and maintains EDI technical standards, identifying EDI solutions to business needs and overall processimprovement. Responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the HIPAA 837 (claims), 835(remittances), 276/277 (claims status inquiry and response), 270/271 (Eligibility Inquiries), 278 (referral/prior authorization)EDI transactions and any other EDI transactions. Responsibilities also include planning, implementing and managing HIPAAEDI projects relating to these transactions, including end-user contact, analysis, design, mapping, programming, training anddocumentation. Additionally, functions as team lead and conducts training of new processes, process changes and policies ofother team members and functions as integral part of special project teams. Daily monitoring of EDI file processing. Communicates with vendors and clients regarding day-to-day EDI transactions. Troubleshooting of issues impacting successful receipt or delivery of files; performing root cause analysis. Query databases in response to business inquiries. Monitors, reports and tracks error trends to manage resolution initiatives. Works under direction of the EDI Developer on testing and implementation of new files and-or file changes. Monitor, audit, and report on the processing of newly implemented trading partners to confirm their successful transition to the production environment. Decommission trading partners as needed. Oversee the production support of existing EDI trading partners. Monitor the production environment and proactively prioritize, communicate, and resolve any EDI process or system issues. Perform routine and ad hoc analysis of various facets of EDI processing Experience viewing the BizTalk Artifacts using the BizTalk Administration Console. Configure BizTalk host instances, adapters using the BizTalk Administration console. Education: required- Bachelor's DegreeBusiness, Information Technology, ComputerInformation Systems, Systems Engineering,related fields. 2 years experience working with HIPAA HealthCare X12 EDI transactions. Four (4) years of related professional data interchange experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
