Description If you're an experienced accountant with a keen eye for accuracy, there's an exciting opportunity through Robert Half for you to check out at a growing firm. In this role, you will have responsibility over the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Additionally, you'll be participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This role also involves the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. The Bellevue, Washington based company is offering this position on a short-term contract / temporary basis. They provide an innovative work environment where effort is rewarded.
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Ready complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
Maintain monthly payment schedules
Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision
Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner Requirements - Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Efficient in ERP systems
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
High attention to detail
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Expertise in bi-Monthly Payroll
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Deep understanding of bank reconciliations
