Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Bellport, New York

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance located in Bohemia, New York. The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, implementing effective financial strategies, managing accounting teams, and ensuring the company's financial compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Manage the preparation of the company's budget and financial reports, including annual budget, audit reports, and financial forecasts.

• Supervise the use of various Accounting Software Systems, including ADP - Financial Services, Concur, CRM, and Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records.

• Oversee accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and other financial transactions.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.

• Implement and manage effective budget processes within the company.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account activity.

• Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.

• Collaborate with the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance role within the construction/contractor industry

• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a VP/Director of Finance or similar

• Advanced knowledge and experience with Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in using Concur, CRM, and Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in preparing Annual Budget and overseeing Auditing processes

• Demonstrable expertise in Budget Processes

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or similar field, Master's degree or relevant certification will be advantageous

• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

• Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively

• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
