Job Title: Quality & Continuous Improvement Coordinator

Summary:

Robert Half is seeking a self-motivated and driven Quality & Continuous Improvement Coordinator with 1-2 years experience to join a growing manufacturer and production facility in MD. Reporting to the Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager, the coordinator will play a pivotal role in upholding production workflow, quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Overview of Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance

  • Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout print production workflow.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs.

  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and address deviations from quality standards.

  • Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to facilitate process improvement workshops.

  • Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and track progress.

Training & Development

  • Evaluate training program effectiveness and prioritize training needs.

  • Partner with facilitators to develop training materials and conduct regular training sessions.

  • Ensure ongoing skill development through refresher courses and workshops.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities and training sessions.

  • Generate regular reports on quality performance and training completion.

  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to implement best practices and work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to align efforts with business objectives.

  • Provide feedback and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Adhere to plant safety rules and established safety policies.

  • Perform additional tasks and lead special projects as assigned.

    Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in a quality assurance or continuous improvement position where they were responsible for monitoring/auditing efficiency of processes, training, performance, production workflow, etc.

  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry/production environment is preferred; Would consider quality assurance experience within a laboratory environment (medical/research/science industry).

  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt and experience with 5s Lean projects and safety and/or working within a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks.

  • Adaptable and not easily overwhelmed with the ability to operate in a fast paced.

  • Collaborative with strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to easily build positive rapport.

  • Analytical, strategic, and strong problem solver.

  • Enjoys bringing new ideas to the table and helping to build, develop and implement new processes.

  • Reliable, committed, invested, growth oriented, and motivated.

  • Strong willingness to learn, eager, takes initiative, and has a team player mentality.
