Robert Half Purchasing Agent in Bensalem, Pennsylvania


Growing company in Bensalem is seeking a Purchasing and Operations Specialist for a possible temporary to hire opportunity. In this role you will work closely with vendors, the sales team, and the accounting team to manage supply flow, inventory and overall operations for a busy and thriving company. Some of the main responsibilities are as follows:


Inventory Management

Order Entry/Purchase Orders

Vendor Management/Communication

Projection of Inventory (Anticipation of stock/supply to accurately plan ahead for upcoming projects)

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage supply flow to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and manage inventory levels to meet production needs.

• Work closely with vendors to negotiate purchase contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods.

• Collaborate with the sales and accounting teams to align purchasing activities with sales forecasts and budget constraints.

• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM to track and manage vendor relationships and purchasing activities.

• Conduct regular asset inventory checks to maintain accurate records.

• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with purchase orders or deliveries in a timely manner.

• Implement purchasing strategies to achieve cost-effective purchasing decisions and manage the supply chain.

• Monitor market trends and perform competitive analysis to inform purchasing decisions.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all purchasing activities.


Microsoft Dynamics (preferred but not required)

3+ Years experience in a Purchasing position
