Robert Half is working with an exciting venture capitalist firm based in Bentonville, AR in their search to add an Investment Accountant to their team. This role will assist the Director of Operations in supporting the accounting and business operations of the organization and its entities.

You thrive in an ever-changing startup environment and effortlessly pivot as priorities shift. You use your robust analytical and creative problem-solving skills while you work efficiently both independently, and collaboratively within a team.

This job is ideal for someone with a bachelor’s degree and a fundamental understanding of investment accounting, including partnership accounting, and 1-2 years of experience in a similar environment with similar responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Accounting Acumen: A solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for private funds and a GP entity, including the ability to review third-party fund administrator financials with precision.

General Ledger Reporting and Reconciliation: Ability to review and apply chart of accounts to vendor expenses. Reconciliation of cash and brokerage accounts and experience with institutional banking applications.

Accounting Software: Familiarity with QuickBooks, CRMs, and other financial protocols. Intermediate Microsoft Excel abilities, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.

Project Management: Financial and operational support for ad-hoc projects including compliance, regulatory filings, and maintaining investment data for company-wide use.

Audit & Tax: Year-end audit and tax preparation and review.
