Description Robert Half is looking for a Tax Accountant to join our client based in Berkeley Heights, NJ. The Tax Accountant will file federal and state tax returns and work with financial and income tax statements, ensuring they comply with tax laws. What you get to do every day
Organize any outsourced tax preparation work - Manage the company's tax database and put together tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports - Accurately prepare quarterly and annual tax reports - Stay informed on tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in detail oriented organizations, keeping up with detail oriented networks and reading detail oriented publications - Develop solutions for complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings - Ensure client compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations - Recognize ways to improve profits and tax savings - Advise management about the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws Requirements - Problem-solving and creative thinking skills - Demonstrated organizational skills - 2+ years of public or corporate tax - Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required - Must have excellent time management skills - Excellent attention to detail - CPA highly preferred - Excellent oral and written communications skills
